The Northern Pintail

The Northern Pintail is a bird of open wetlands, such as wet grassland or tundra, and feeds by dabbling for plant food mainly in the evening or at night. During the nesting season, this bird also eats aquatic insects, mollusks and crustaceans. It sometimes feeds on grasses and seeds in fields. The nest is a shallow scrape on the ground lined with plant material and down, in a dry location that may be fairly far from water

The Passing of Bob Snapp on July 30, 2006 (Cheryl's Uncle)
Robert E. “Bob” Snapp, 56, of rural Parsons, died at 4:55 p.m., Sunday, July 30, 2006, at the Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born May 21, 1950, to Melvin Earl and Edith Joanne (Hadley) Snapp in Wichita, Kansas.
He grew up and attended schools in Wichita and was a graduate of Wichita North High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his discharge, he worked as a sheet metal mechanic.
His hobbies included hunting, camping, four-wheeling and gardening. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
On May 24, 1985, he married Linda Johnson in Parsons. She preceded him in death on October 10, 2005.
Survivors: One Son - Steven Snapp and his wife, Dawn Springfield, MO Two Stepsons - Ty Smith and his wife, Cathi Augusta, KS Troy Heady and his wife, Deanna Parsons, KS
Two Daughters – Crystal Snapp Boston, MA Tracie Mendoza and her husband, Dennis Kansas City, MO
One Step-daughter – Traci Hess Wichita, KS
Six Grandchildren
Mother - Joanne Snapp Wichita, KS
Two Brothers – John Snapp and his wife, Vicki Wichita, KS Chuck Snapp Dallas, TX
One Sister - Linda Cowel and her husband, Dennis Wichita, KS
He was also preceded in death by his father, Melvin Snapp.
Cheryl's Uncle, Bob Snapp, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2006. Pictured here the previous day, Bob courageously attended the 80th Birthday of his Mother, Joanne Snapp, only a few hours before he passed away from complications of liver failure.
