Willie McBride: Candidate For US FL Senate

It has been said there is no better way to predict where a person is heading than knowing where he has been.

Will McBride’s personal history is a clear indicator of his future.

Born in Tampa, the son of a Baptist minister, Will’s youth was distinguished by a solid academic and sports career, active church participation and a drive to share his gifts as a counselor and teacher.

Will earned his way during these years, holding a series of jobs as referee, orange picker, and landscaper in college to cover expenses.

Will is the son of a Mexican-American father and Dominican-American mother. He is an active hunter and fisherman and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association [NRA]. Will served for several years as a Christian Camp Youth Minister and Director and became a licensed Baptist lay minister in 1998.

After teaching public school for three years, Will decided to undertake further studies, struggling with “whether to attend seminary or study law, eventually choosing law because I wanted to be actively involved in politics”.

Will is married to the former Kristy Epperson and father of three boys [Will Junior 5, Watson 3 and Winston 1]. Will is a member of the Florida bar, and founder of a successful law firm with offices in Orlando, Tampa and Kissimmee.

Besides his corporate practice, he also dedicates a significant portion of his time to serving the Hispanic community. Will teaches English on Univision’s WTVN Channel 26, Orlando.

Will, Kristy and the children are active members of First Baptist Church, Windermere.
